First of all, Pre-ordering for the Directions of Destiny book is now officially closed! The next opportunity to purchase it will be at Anime Expo in the Anaheim Convention Center from July 1~4 from my table in the Artist Alley, and if there are still books left, online ordering will be available afterwards on July 5th!

And yes, I will be attending Anime Expo! Come visit me if you plan on going :D

Also, prior to Anime Expo, I will be in Japan for two weeks, from June 17 until July 1, so there will not be comic updates within that span of time.

Finally, I've indeed updated the comic with new pages! ...plus one revised page XD. The new ones are pages 4 and 5 of Section 1.3, and the revised page is page 3 of the same section. So! That's all from me. See you all in two weeks!

This may be kind of short notice, but the last day to pre-order the Directions of Destiny book is this Thursday, June 16th. Come 12AM PST, Friday, Pre-ordering will be closed until after Anime Expo (July 5th). If you want to guarantee yourself a copy (along with a free sketch!), you have until Thursday.

I've also revamped the Artwork section of the Directions of Destiny website, reorganizing and such (which took surprisingly longer than it should have; I still have two sub-sections of it left to rework 9_9).

Hey, I should totally update this!

Solike, in case you were out of the loop, pre-ordering for my first book of Directions of Destiny started a while back. The book's got 80 pages to it and contains Sections 1.1 and 1.2, plus some exclusive extras! It'll be released in July and it's selling for a measly $5! That's, like, less than fastfood! In conclusion, save yourself the cholesterol, and pre-order yourself a copy. :D

And as implied by the previous statements, Directions of Destiny is now through with Sections 1.1 and 1.2 of the new revision started back at the end of January! And my first semester of college is over now, which mea~ns I'll have way more time to work on comic pages :3. So hopefully the pace will quicken this summer!

Anyway, with the competion of Sections 1.1 and 1.2, I've also done a new image for the cover of Section 1.2:

In a drastic turn of events, comic artist Hans Tseng decides to take his graphic novel series Directions of Destiny off WirePop, instead opting to replace it with a brand new comic titled Lapis Aquae!

Directions of Destiny was added to the line-up on WirePop, a webcomic subscription site which features top-quality webcomics in the style of Japanese manga, a little over a month ago, however, its time spent as a pay webcomic was short-lived. When asked for the reason that brought about this sudden change of heart, Tseng responded, "I just felt so bad about charging for a webcomic which had been free for the past three years. It's like, Oh, lah dee dah, free free free, OH NEVERMIND, SUCKERS!"

Lapis Aquae has been in the planning stages for the past six years, and was originally to be written as a series of novels titled Aqua Alps. However, realizing that prose form was not his focal point, Tseng decided to put the project on hold in order to start the sequential art series Directions of Destiny, which was at first intended to be "practice" for the graphic novel form of Lapis Aquae.

Directions of Destiny has since found a warm place in Tseng's heart as not just a guinea pig project, while Lapis Aquae has taken a significant turn from its original concept. Tseng hopes that his readers will come to enjoy both comics, and he reminds his fans that he greatly appreciates their support!

I've added 3 new pages in Section 1.2 of Directions of Destiny! Sorry for taking so long with this update. Last week's update took me until Monday to finish, so I didn't get started on this week's until then :X. Anyway, it's here at least, right?!

The Links section under "Others" has also been updated with two new links; one to Viviane's Manga Artwork, which, under the "Sites" section, contains her absolutely AMAZING (and slightly dark--not for the faint-of-heart!) webcomic Gott Gauss, available in both German and English! And the second link is to Reman Mythology, which is quite an old webcomic that's been around since 1999, but for whatever moronic reason I didn't read until only recently, and Whoa. Methinks I have an inferiority complex?

Anyway, I may as well take space to say a big THANK YOU to the people who've subscribed to WirePop with my comic as their referral! Really, it means a lot to me; any kind of support is always appreciated, and helps me keep pushing the comic along :D. So yeah. Everybody who reads this comic, everybody who sent me fan art or fan mail. Thanks!

Well, seeing as about 80 of my Xanga subscribers are people who stalk me for my art and comics, while roughly 30 of the remaining others are people with whom I went to school but have mostly lost contact (and probably don't read their Xanga subscriptions anymore), I'm just going to start posting site and comic updates on here, like I do on my LiveJournal. (Posts about my mundane, personal life will go on my other LiveJournal).

So with that, Section 1.2 of my webcomic Directions of Destiny has begun with 3 new pages! PHOOAAAR!!

...Albeit, currently incomplete >_> I'm absolutely exhausted right now though (less than four hours of sleep last night :x) so I figure I may as well put up what I have for NOW, and when I get up tomorrow bright and chipper(!) I'll fix it up and make it slightly more presentable. And I apologize if you've already gotten used to the 16 pages per week; those were only for the first two updates, since I've had those pages in the near-completion phase for a while before I actually made the updates :P. I'm hoping to shoot for around seven pages a week in the future though; this week was a blunder, since I *cough* just finished scripting this chapter on...Monday...and started drawing it on...Tuesday. HEY YOU DIDN'T READ THAT :D

Anyway, I've decided that I'll make this chapter permanently free as well, next to Section 1.1, because they go well together? Because I couldn't bear the thought of new readers coming to my site and reading only Section 1.1 and then being like, "Oh, that's it? Darn." Because, see, I'm hoping that after they read both Section 1.1 and Section 1.2, they'll have more of a response akin to "OH MY GOD! THIS IS SO AWESOME I MUST SUBSCRIBE TO WIREPOP SO THAT I CAN HELP FEED A POOR STARVING HANS."

Why no, that was not a blatant plug or anything! NOT AT ALL!

Also, I'm going to ANIME EXPO this year (like I do EVERY year, seeing as I live freaking five minutes from the convention center where it's held)! And because I'll have just gotten back from my TRIP TO JAPAN, my credit card will be raping me, like hardcore!! SO I will be getting a TABLE AT ARTIST ALLEY, and I trust that all of you will be keeping me company?!? (ARTIST FRIENDS, SIT WITH ME.)

I registered for my classes :3

HCOM-100: Introduction to Human Communication; ART-103: 2D Design; POSC-100: American Government; ART-107A: Beginning Drawing; PHYS-120: Introduction to Astronomy; 15 units total

Man, originally my 2D Design was going to be at 9AM to 11:45AM on Mondays and Wednesdays, but Ratemyprofessors.com informed me that that section was taught be a total douchebag, albeit "really cute"! So now the section I'm taking is taught by somebody else who's apparently also "a freakin' hottie", but with good teaching skills!

And apparently Astronomy and Government are both taught by FOBs. (Incidentally, the three professors that the registration site listed for my classes all turned out to be Asian.)

Another route I could've taken with my schedule was to fill up only Tuesdays and Thursdays, where both those days I'd be at class from 8:30AM~9:45PM with two two-hour breaks for food, but I decided against it after realizing how much I'll freaking HATE Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The website forced me to sign up for a math class at first because the school hasn't received my AP scores yet, so I had to shove my copy in their faces before they let me drop the class and gave me credit for my APs. Except, really, that's kind of a bust considering I had just paid $15 to AP services yesterday to send them my scores. Whatev'.

But I don't think I'll do a double-major for now like I intended to do at UCI. since that's just going to rape me repeatedly. up the ass.

Oh yeah, by the way, I've finally (three weeks from the start of the semester) received my admittance to Calstate Fullerton. Yo.
